General Description: Responsible for driving continuous revenue growth of the MGA businesses.  Provide management and oversight to division managers and direct reports to achieve financial goals.

Responsibilities:

·       Responsible for overall business strategy. Achieve identified financial growth targets.

·       Accountable for full-cycle recruitment, management, and development of assigned team. Includes providing leadership and guidance, training, and performance management.

·       Identify, plan, and resolve routine department coverage and workload issues. Take necessary action to resolve issues.

·       Oversee operational aspects of vertical to include support structure and staffing requirements.

·       Provide management oversight and P&L responsibility for assigned vertical profit centers. 

·       Develop and lead implementation of strategic business initiatives, marketing strategies, and campaigns.

·       Coordinate with Programs division to capture all business that doesn’t fit into programs but can be placed into contract binding markets

·       Develop and lead the inside Desk Underwriting team and strategy. Achieve new business growth targets through USI and Desk Underwriter teams.

·       Directly manage Production Underwriters assigned to MGA leader.

·       Provide recommendations to management on process and sales strategy improvement.

·       Serve as the most senior subject matter specialist in contract binding/MGA operations.

·       Market company products and services through defined distribution sources. Develop and maintain agency/broker/direct account relationships.

·       Effectively lead and collaborate with a team via in-person, in-office, and remote environments.

·       Develop and maintain relationships with retail clients including USI. Identify and develop revenue opportunities.

·       Develop active and visible relationships with carriers. Drive carrier expansion, appointments, and growth targets/goals with particular focus on USI needs in the contract binding marketplace.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·       10 years + insurance experience. 5 years + managing multiple leaders required. Experience managing multiple P&Ls preferred.

·       College degree required; post-graduate degree preferred.

·       P&C License required.

·       Extensive knowledge and experience in MGA operations and carrier relations.

·       Experience in both Property and Casualty required.

·       Leadership ability. Driven to motivate others to achieve sales goals. Ability to coach and mentor sales professionals.  

·       Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.

·       Ability to provide market intelligence, consultation, and client-specific assistance to sales associates. 

·       Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
