The Opportunity:

Our internal executive search team is growing! This is a Remote / Virtual position. 

The Leadership Recruiter is responsible for the full life cycle recruitment for strategic leadership roles for Leadership talent in Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits on a national basis, and also other senior level roles across USI. 


  • The Leadership Recruiter will guide and partner with hiring managers to identify, attract, assess and hire the best talent for Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits lines of business, and as needed, senior level roles across the organization.
  • Lead and execute Practice (Sales) Leader searches nationally; directly source passive candidates through multiple channels - strategic research, prospecting, networking, and employee referrals to build a robust leadership talent pipeline
  • Data integrity: Manage market & prospect data, requisitions, candidate information and relevant notes in our CRM (Avature)
  • Manage daily required activity to meet goals; sourcing, calling prospects, discussing the USI employee value proposition, phone interviews, scheduling meetings and managing the candidate through the entire process
  • Debrief managers and candidates
  • Negotiate offers
  • Partner with peer group to establish best practices; ensure consistent brand marketing & USI messaging; share leads and competitive intelligence
  • Involved with the tracking of key metrics

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Superior Market / Candidate Research and Sourcing skills and a willingness/enthusiasm for candidate outreach (to passive candidates) is essential
  • Self-starter with a superior work ethic and a defined sense of urgency is a must
  • An understanding and appreciation of broader Human Resources practices and success in navigating a highly matrixed organization is necessary
  • Insurance or Financial Services recruitment experience is preferred
  • 7- 10 years of full lifecycle recruitment experience in sales recruiting required
  • executive search or corporate executive recruiting experience preferred
  • Agency experience a plus, too
  • 4-year degree is required
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and situation with discretion
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and frequently shifting priorities
