Responsible for managing and building a sales team focused on Professional Liability insurance. Develop sales and distribution plans to achieve or exceed department goals.


Supervise the Professional Liability Producers in their daily sales activity including:

  • Coach and mentor Producers on all aspects of sales process. Includes product knowledge, value propositions, prospecting, cross selling, closing techniques and sales messaging. Ensure personal and team attainment of annual production goals.
  • Develop and maintain department budget to ensure costs are within budget guidelines.
  • Ensure underwriting guidelines are being adhered to.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and workshops as deemed necessary.
  •  Assist in implementing marketing and business plans to support sales strategies.
  • Work with marketing team to develop and implement new lead generation strategies.
  • Work with Database team to further development our CRM and lead management systems.
  •  Work with Underwriting and Operations team on process and sales issues.


  •  2+ years of sales and insurance industry experience. Outside sales and inside call-center environment required. Four-year College Degree preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  •   Experience managing a team of inside and out-side B to B sales. Call monitoring/KPI measuring preferred.
  • P&C license required or the ability to get one within 60 days of employment. Develop strong knowledge of company‚Äôs product line and related insurance concepts.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain strong business relationships. Ability to deal with difficult or sensitive situations.
  • Must have excellent management, planning, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be proficient in the MS Office suite of products including Word, Excel.   Able to quickly learn proprietary tools and tracking systems.
  • Must be willing and able to manage all prospecting activity in sales tracking system.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time and able to travel on all forms of transportation.
