The Role:

The Internal Insurance Assistant Supervisor leads a team of Internal Insurance Assistants who provide essential support to account management and underwriting teams. In this role, you will ensure the effective servicing and retention of commercial property and casualty accounts for our internal retail clients. You will play a key part in maintaining high standards of client service and operational excellence within the team.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment, management, and development of your assigned team, including leadership, training, and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement in team processes.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and share updates on industry and technology trends.
  • Manage team workload, staffing levels, and ensure data accuracy in agency management systems.
  • Act as a technical resource for complex client inquiries.
  • Process new business and renewal submissions in line with departmental guidelines.
  • Coordinate inspections and review recommendations.
  • Bind and invoice policies for new and renewal accounts.
  • Process insurance policies, endorsements, and claims.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in policy management filing systems.
  • Order loss summaries or claims history as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of Commercial Lines experience, including at least 3 years in a broker role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Property & Casualty and/or appropriate business licensure required for direct client service or underwriting roles.
  • Expert understanding of Property & Casualty insurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate multiple systems and applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Collaborative team player who can adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to following policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
