General Summary:

The Defined Contribution (DC) Implementation Analyst is a role for an experienced benefits administrator. The DC Implementation Analyst is the primary client contact when onboarding existing and startup retirement plans. This is a career-track position.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·     Lead the implementation and conversion process for startup and newly converting plans.

·     Act as the primary contact for clients, advisors, and prior providers with regard to implementation and conversion of retirement plan administration.

·     Communicate effectively with clients and partners to establish day-to-day operations; understand clients’ needs, concerns, and ideas; and manage expectations.

·     Learn the plan provisions for each onboarding client and understand the technical rules that govern plans to ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and the plan document.

·     Setup recordkeeping system and website per plan document requirements.

·     Review, reconcile, and load plan and participant data.

·     Draft required notices for transitioning plans and participants.

·     Train plan sponsors and advisors on processes and website.

·     Perform complex tasks and problem-solving under minimal supervision.

·     Recommend processes to improve client service and/or business results.

·     Research and develop information to support consultants in resolving client issues and questions.

·     Perform work efficiently to attain individual billing and realization goals, which directly affect the profitability of the firm.

·     Answer questions from clients, participants, partners, and coworkers in a timely and professional manner.

·     Reconcile all work products.

·     Perform fund additions, swaps, and fund portfolio setup for all plans.

·     This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; the employee will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.

Specific/Individual Core Competencies:

·     Basic knowledge of the design, operation, and regulations governing defined contribution plans, including 401(k), ESOP, 403(b), and 457

·     Time management and organizational skills

·     Analytical skills with an emphasis on problem-solving

·     Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel

·     Ability to perform detailed work accurately

·     Verbal and written communication skills

·     Preferred experience of Schwab Retirement Technologies recordkeeping software


Education:

·     Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Mathematics, Finance, or related

·     2+ years of employee benefits or defined contribution experience

·     Demonstrated record of success in academics and/or on the job
