SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer, Email Specialist core responsibilities are focused in specialized email design to join our in-house design team.  In this role, the designer will research, design, and produce HTML email templates and campaigns for our Emerson Reid, My Benefit Advisor, and private label brands. Campaigns will include newsletters, lead generation emails, client announcements, invitations, user templates, and more.  Part of the role will be to monitor and measure email campaigns with A/B testing and use reporting feedback to improve engagement in future campaigns.   This position will report to our Brand Manager, and be part of a team with two other graphic designers.    

               

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·         Creating and monitoring a wide variety of email marketing campaigns, troubleshooting and resolution of potential issues

·         Email segmentation growth and management, delivering specific messages to targeted audiences

·         Ensuring design and layouts of emails are optimized, user and mobile-friendly

·         Creating digital ads

·         Aiding additional digital marketing efforts

·         Tracking and analyzing campaign results

·         Bachelors degree in Design, marketing, 2+ years’ of email marketing experience

·         Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and best practices in each.

·         Have a solid grasp of design principles and methods as it relates to user experience and user interfaces.

·         Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

·         Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel

·         BA in Graphic Design/Visual Communications or equivalent experience required.

·         2+ years of graphic design or similar experience working in a marketing environment required.

·         Proficiency in: HTML/CCS, strong production skills, able to work in a PC operating system and proficiency with design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat), knowledge of web based applications, solid understanding of image formats (EPS, TIF, GIF, JPEG, PDF), understanding of graphic compression tools and their use, and an aptitude for learning new programs and interfaces.

·         Knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5 a plus

·         Good written and verbal communications skills

·         Ability to take direction and follow through from concept through completion while meeting deadlines.

·         Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

·         Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Good working knowledge of MS Office suite of products including Word, Excel.
