General Description: The Financial Liaison is responsible for being the collaborative liaison between the Region and the Accounting Center where accounting and operations issues need special attention and expertise to resolve. The Financial Liaison will raise issues to Finance team leadership and assist in bringing items to resolution.
Responsibilities:
· Operates as primary liaison between lines of business and the Corporate Accounting Center to assist in bringing problem issues to resolution/closure while complying with USI procedures.
· If necessary, work with Regional Operations Leader, RFO and FA team to host training on potential solutions to root cause issues identified that can be prevented.
· Review Power BI and follow and help bring closure to delinquent tasks aged beyond 30 days with the help of the Account Management and Finance teams.
- Review aged carrier payables aged beyond 60 days. Investigate and collaborate with Accounting Center and AM team to bring to closure.
- work collaboratively with Operations team, Cash Receipts team and New England Client AR team to ensure cash is applied accurately and timely and assist in any problem areas identified
- Maintain and update a regional file of all outside broker agreements (new and existing). Compile and retain a summary of any commission sharing arrangements, collaborating with the Commission Analysts as necessary.
- Work with Accounting Center Direct Bill team ensuring EB commission cash receipts from carriers are being applied to the proper accounts.
· Assist Accounting Center or Account Management teams with correct application and reconciliation of cash receipts and client accounts where client payments may be misapplied.
· Assist with premium/commission adjustments. Monthly review of AP and AR reports and reconciliation.
· Assist as necessary with forms and fee agreements that need attention, paperwork related to contributions, sponsorships, etc.
· Maintain performance resolution log for purposes of understanding training needs, etc.
· Assist account managers with Sagitta invoicing tools and become literate in online training offered by CL Training team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· College experience preferred, but not required.
· SAP, ImageRight Task, Sagitta, MS Office and Excel proficiency preferred.
· Accounting / Finance experience with an insurance broker/agency of 1 + years or Account Management of 1 + years with an insurance broker/agency.
· Strong work ethic with a defined sense of urgency.
· Organized self-starter that works well in a team environment.
· Strong attention to detail and retention of pertinent information.
