General Description: Acts as EPS Department liaison to clients. The Retirement Relationship Manager consults with clients on complex issues such as plan design, compliance, product developments, special projects, fees, etc. He/she is responsible for the overall relationship management with the main focus on client satisfaction and retention. The Retirement Relationship Manager will partner with Producers and Recordkeeper Partners to ensure all available services are being utilized for the client. Works with TPA service team and producers on all aspects of client management.

Responsibilities:

• Successfully manage and retain assigned book of business

• Measure service quality and ensure that we meet client deliverables on an ongoing basis

• Perform quality control checking and coordinate delivery of periodic plan Investment Reviews; effectively work with Producers to implement any investment fund changes requested by clients

• Ensure timely completion, review, and delivery of annual plan reviews; schedule meetings to discuss results with clients and establish action plans for the upcoming year

• Coordinate education campaigns with Recordkeeper Partners for assigned plans to demonstrate their value to employees and promote plan participation, including selection of compliance-approved materials and coordination of presentations as needed

• Participate in the pricing, documentation, and completion of special projects, including preparation and proper filing of Supplemental Service Agreements executed by clients

• Work with Producers to perform plan-level revenue and expense reviews, analyze profitability results, review with management, communicate with clients/coordinate appropriate action steps (i.e. ERISA account, etc.) as needed

• Assist with department’s monthly billing, ensuring project billing log is updated timely

• Ensure monthly metrics are accurately and timely recorded for department reports to management

• Work with legal department on coordination and delivery of annual plan notices

• EPS Department liaison to the legal department coordinating plan drafting, amendments, SPDs, corrective actions, etc. Ensure assigned plans are in compliance with IRS/DOL regulations

• Build and maintain a positive team spirit to assist with employee retention

• Assume the lead role in the establishment of new client relationships and new business implementation for retirement plans, including:

o Assist Producers with prospective client website demonstrations, EPS capabilities/finalist presentations

o Manage conversion of assigned new business following department checklists/procedures

o Lead and actively participate in transition meetings, conference calls, and plan document calls

o Establish and continually review conversion timetable; monitor progress, working with Producer, TPA Consultant and Recordkeeper Partners to ensure timely completion of all deliverables

o Coordinate timely preparation and execution of required plan documentation for all parties, including EPS, USI Securities, the Plan’s trustee/custodian, etc.

o Establish proper client expectations and adjust with client as required

• Mentor EPS new hires at all levels, individually or in group setting, sharing company and industry expertise with team members; participate in development and delivery of internal training sessions; provide constructive feedback to EPS Management concerning new hires’ progress

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s or more advanced degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance or Accounting

• FINRA Series 6 required or willing to obtain

• Advanced computer skills-knowledge of Windows environment, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• 7-10 years minimum related business experience, demonstrating recordkeeping and compliance expertise

• ASPPA certification preferred

• Ability to creatively and proactively problem-solve, adhering to all regulatory requirements

• Ability to stay organized and focused in a busy environment

• Effective communication skills with clients and co-workers, both verbal and written

• Personable and credible

• Demonstrates cooperation and collaboration in a team setting
