General Description: Analyze information for large clients with complex ancillary lines of coverage including dental, vision, life AD&D, disability and worksite. Deliver financial, contractual, claims utilization and premium rate analysis.


  • Responsible for ancillary financial analytics for clients over 500 lives.
  • Primary contact with insurance carriers on new business quotes and renewals.
  • Provide expert ancillary carrier and product knowledge to the team.
  • Perform technical analysis of group insurance contracts and financial arrangements.
  • Use analytical tools to develop alternative strategies, plan modeling and cost reduction opportunities. Develop strategic plans for clients.
  • Prepare complex analyses, including market review, renewal rate and benefit illustration, and claims utilization.
  • Write client-facing Executive Summaries providing observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Negotiate market results with carriers in collaboration with service team.
  • Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships.
  • Drive USI’s panel carrier strategy.
  • Attend regional financial and client meetings when needed.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less-senior members of the analyst team. Support new hire onboarding and team training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Ancillary Employee Benefits with experience in dental, vision, life, disability & worksite.
  • College degree preferred, but not required.
  • Maintain state Life & Disability insurance license or willing to obtain one within an agreed upon timeframe.
  • Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
  • Keep informed about industry information, technology and trends.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
