Description and Requirements

The Role:

As the National Benefits Administration Manager, you will lead and manage USI’s national benefits administration practice. You will have direct oversight of the Benefits Administrators and coordinate with relevant third parties to ensure the success of our benefits administration operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the execution of the national benefits administration strategy to attract and retain employee benefit clients.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop the benefits administration team, including training and performance management.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, tools, and resources are in place to support both internal and external client needs.
  • Establish and refine processes to reduce costs and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee vendor and partner relationships to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Assist with internal and external training efforts and communications related to the benefits administration practice.
  • Manage the consolidation of benefits administration licenses in accordance with overall business objectives.

What We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years of experience in Employee Benefits, HR Technology, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to assess data and financial metrics to identify opportunities and drive improvement.
  • Understanding of HR functions and processes.
  • Strong team management capabilities with the ability to guide teams toward successful delivery of project goals.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • High level of self-motivation and critical thinking.
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior level management and maintain executive-level presence.

USI also offers a generous paid time off policy, paid family leave benefit as well as paid holiday time.


Salary Range:  $110,000- $125,000.  This is a bonus eligible position with a target incentive of 10%.
