General Description: 

The DC Consulting Practice Leader is responsible for driving continuous revenue growth for USICG. The DC Practice Leader collaborates with the Sales Leaders and Producers to develop and implement a strategic sales plan for the entire  Practice, collaborating  with other Practices and USI Retail regions as appropriate.

Responsibilities:  Drive consistent and predictable long-term profitable new client relationships. Develop internal resources/experts to assist all producers in closing business. Key driver to generate revenue from new and existing clients.  Develop an annual Practice Marketing and Sales Plan with the COO and CEO. Develop new and enhance existing services and products

·       Team Selling:  Coordinate efforts with Retail Leaders to cross sell  USICG products and services.

·       Financial:  Achieve budgeted objectives for new business, client retention, overall revenue growth and Practice profitability.  Responsible for the P&L performance and attainment of targeted financial objectives of the Practices.  Accurately forecast future results and trends.

·       Strategic Planning: Develop and monitor a long- term plan for the Practice that incorporates revenue growth expectations, technical capabilities and geographical expansion. Establish “Best Practices” regarding services and processes for the DCC staff. Plan should facilitate the transition to DC consulting services for client with DB plans that are on a glidepath to termination.

·       Acquisition Leadership: May assist in sourcing acquisition candidates. Lead acquisition integration for respective areas of responsibility.

·       Talent Management: Actively work with recruiters to maintain a recruiting pipeline of talent and an organizational understanding of other roles and resources that may be required for success.  

·       Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, regionally and nationally.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·       15 + years experience in an operations or leadership role working in with defined benefit pension plan with prior management experience.

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance or Accounting.

·       Exceptional actuarial consulting and client relations/management skills

·       Effective leadership & communication skills

·       Ability to direct and monitor the activities of others

·       Ability to plan and instruct staff members on information appropriate to their job responsibilities

·       Ability to handle difficult behavior or conflict and bring to a timely resolution.

·       Ability to creatively and proactively problem-solve.

·       Ability to stay organized and focused in a busy environment.

·       Personable, credible, professional and dependable.

·       Excellent communication, accounting, managerial and interpersonal skills.
