General Summary:
Proactively assist client and participant callers with inquiries; answering questions to routine transactions providing high level customer service to all. Process defined benefit transactions with a high degree of accuracy within service level agreement parameters. Quickly and accurately create workflows for internal research requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively assist client and participant callers with inquiries; answering questions to routine transactions providing high level customer service to all
- Process defined benefit transactions with a high degree of accuracy within service level agreement parameters
- Quickly and accurately create workflows for internal research requests
- Provide thorough and prompt response to client and participant faxes, emails and mailings
- Communicate with coworkers, trustees and clients to resolve processing issues immediately
- Learn technical rules for plans
- Keep team leaders and customer service manager apprised of issues
Specific/Individual Core Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong listening, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Benefits administration background preferred
- Effectively handle stressful calls in a professional manner
- Proficient in use of required processing software and systems
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
- Able to meet deadlines with the highest degree of accuracy
- Detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking
- Able to work well in a group environment as well as independently
- Self-motivated
Education:
- 2-year degree preferred
Experience
- Previous call center experience preferred
