The Opportunity
In this highly visible role as a Corporate Strategy Associate, you will sit at the core of our business at the crossroads of both strategy and analytics, working closely with Corporate Executives and Regional Business Leaders to help develop business strategy, growth plans and drive execution. You will have the freedom to make decisions independently and make meaningful and measurable improvements impacting an abundance of both internal and external clients and customers. You will lead key cross-functional projects across the business, collaboratively working with senior leaders, and be critically involved in strategic planning, problem solving, and making decisions impacting our USI’s overall business.
What you’ve done:
- 1-3 years of experience at a top tier management consulting firm or a corporate strategy role in a financial institution.
- Track record of using analytics to support decision-making, with the ability to dig deep into data and identify the right insights.
- Self-motivation and autonomy, the ability to independently identify and implement high-value analyses and projects.
- Verbal and written communication and data modeling and presentation skills, with ability to simplify complex concepts and effectively communicate those to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, organizational and execution skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical capabilities including advanced Excel. MS SQL / Analysis Services scripting, and business intelligence dashboard modeling (PowerBI, Tableau, or similar platform) is a plus.
- Advanced level of financial analysis.
- Limited domestic travel
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with Corporate Executive and Regional Business Leaders to lead the execution of key cross functional business initiatives, working efficiently across organization lines.
- Manage Growth Initiative workstreams and run weekly project meetings to ensure activities stay on track.
- Assist in developing, leading, and implementing strategic and operational initiatives to enhance revenue growth and / or improve operating margins.
- Review and analyze financial and operating reports and participate in monthly forecasting and performance review calls.
- Communicate and present findings to Program Management and Corporate Executives
- Analyze potential acquisition targets through financial analysis and pro-forma modeling of USI Program opportunity.
- Define and report on both key metrics and user data to measure the performance of our operations and inform data driven decision making.

The anticipated gross salary range for this role is $125,000 - $130,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is only one component of USI’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes an annual incentive bonus, 401(k), paid time off, and comprehensive health benefits.

This is a bonus-eligible position with a target incentive of 15%
