General Description:  Responsible for managing and developing a team of recruiters. Streamline the recruiting process, improve overall function and ensure operational excellence.


  • Responsible for full-cycle management of recruiters and sourcers.
  • Oversee and improve recruiting operations and service delivery.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategy to meet hiring objectives. Ensure best practices are applied to all regional recruiting functions.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with staff to ensure proper communication and training.
  • Conduct meetings with regional executive teams and present regional reporting on recruiting data
  • Influence, guide and partner with internal managers both remote and in person to identify, attract, assess and hire the best talent
  • Research and source passive candidates through multiple channels. Includes internet prospecting, networking, employee referrals, research, internet ads, and database searches.
  • Manage daily required activity to meet department goals. Track key metrics.
  • Facilitate candidate testing and evaluations. Conduct reference checks (via automated tool).
  • Negotiate offers; close and "post close" candidates
  • Work with peer group to establish best practices. Ensure consistent brand marketing/USI message. Share leads and competitive intelligence.
  • Provide metrics as requested to management
  • Manage recruiting vendors including preferred temporary and staffing agency agreements and relationships

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of management experience and 10+ years of full lifecycle recruitment. Insurance or Financial Services recruitment experience is ideal. College degree preferred.
  • Excellent research and sourcing skills. Ability to multitask. Enthusiasm for cold calling is essential.
  • Self-starter with a superior work ethic and a defined sense of urgency is a must
  • Understanding of broad Human Resources practices.
  • Exceptionally strong analytical ability and superior work ethic
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization. As well as handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing focuses.
