General Description:  The Compensation Analyst assists with the development, implementation, and administration of USI’s compensation programs, policies.

Responsibilities:

Prepares and maintains job descriptions for the organization. 

Assesses job duties to ensure appropriate FLSA classification.

Benchmarks jobs against survey and other market data to determine compensation ranges for each position. Responds to market-based compensation surveys. 

Evaluates market compensation data to assess results and market trends. Guides managers in making data-supported individual and department compensation decisions.

Reviews and processes off-cycle market adjustment requests as necessary. 

Participates in the annual salary planning process and supports management of company’s incentive bonus programs.

Assists in administering the company’s deferred compensation and internal equity programs.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

BA/BS Degree required; concentration in Business Admin or HR preferred.

3+ years compensation experience required. Experience with Ultimate Software and/or HRSoft preferred, but not required.

Advanced understanding of compensation concepts, design and regulations.

Strong work ethic and ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines effectively. 

Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Understanding of broader Human Resources issues.

Highly motivated, detail-focused and committed to maintaining the integrity of the USI compensation program.
