General Description: The Corporate Acquisition and Benefits Representative is responsible for leading the benefits department in acquisition-related activities, managing USI’s disability and accommodations program, and more. Provides support to the USI Benefits Service Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead benefits department in acquisition-related activities, including developing enrollment materials, delivering presentations, creating and loading employee transition files, calculating paid time off and other transition-related schedules. Primary owner of USI’s acquisitions inbox to support onboarding acquisition team members. Support the USI Director of Acquisitions as needed.

·        Act as point person in disability and other leave programs providing primary support for employees and HR community and communication with the carrier partner to ensure proper administration of the programs.

  • Work closely with RHROs, Benefit Department leadership and employees to review, approve and execute on Americans with Disabilities Act accommodations.
  • Manage independent contractor requests and perform periodic audits as needed.

·        Lead annual Affordable Care Act reporting process.

  • Deliver web-based new hire orientations to associates nationwide.
  • Support USI’s Benefits Service Center; provide daily ongoing support to internal client groups on all benefits programs by answering questions – proactively and reactively – for employees and HR community on all USI benefits. Research complex benefit questions with carrier partners where necessary and follow issues through to conclusion. Maintain regular, pro-active communication with employee clients. Participate in USI’s annual benefits open enrollment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·        BA/BS Degree, in Business Admin or HR Management preferred

·        Five to eight years Human Resources experience required; benefits experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.

·        Intermediate-to-advanced understanding of employee benefit concepts, especially disability, FML and ADA. Ability to apply this specialized knowledge to individual situations.

·        Strong MS Excel skills; comfortable with v-lookups and other common Excel formulas, pivot tables, etc.

·        Excellent client service skills and respect for confidential participant information

·        Experience/understanding and appreciation of broader Human Resources issues

·        Ability to work independently, yet communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

·        Sets priorities and manages work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
