Description and Requirements
We’re seeking a Senior Leave & Benefits Analyst to elevate our leave of absence programs—combining expert guidance, strategic thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This role blends consultative support with operational precision, ensuring employees receive timely, accurate benefits while navigating their leave with confidence and care.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of the Total Rewards team, you will:
· Serve as the primary resource for leave of absence support, guiding employees and HR partners through the process.
- Support initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes. Leverage technology, automation, and data insights to create a more efficient, employee-friendly experience.
· Identify inefficiencies and pain points in current LOA processes and recommend improvements.
- Provide consultative guidance to employees on eligibility, pay while on leave, and available resources.
- Partner with HR, managers, and our disability vendor to coordinate leave logistics, from initial request through return to work.
- Collaborate with local HR to design modified work schedules and thoughtful return-to-work plans.
- Draft and distribute leave-related communications and documentation.
- Manage state disability and paid family leave offsets to ensure accurate benefit delivery.
- Work closely with Payroll to ensure seamless coordination of leave-related pay and timecard processing.
- Maintain and update leave records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
· Analyze trends, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to policies and processes that improve both compliance and employee experience.
- Stay current on evolving leave laws and best practices, especially in states with paid family leave programs.
· Act as a liaison between the LOA team and other HR functions to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: 4+ years in HR or employee benefits and leave management, with deep knowledge of disability and paid leave programs.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave laws.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions and drive improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS and leave tracking systems a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with a focus on clarity and empathy.
- High level of discretion and respect for confidential information.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a passion for enhancing the employee experience.
· Ability to set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions.
