General Description:  Responsible for managing the General Ledger Accounting department at the NAC inclusive of overseeing ACH/wire approvals, bank account reconciliations, fixed asset and intangible accounting, direct bill lag calculations, system interface activity, sub-ledger and intercompany reconciliations, use tax filings and premium trust calculations.


  • Manage General Ledger Accounting department at the NAC to ensure quality standards and deadlines are me
  • Manage team performance through monthly scorecard calculations and quarterly reviews
  • Conducts monthly departmental meetings to ensure department goals are met and for timely problem resolution
  • Hire and oversee training of new employees
  • Ensure lag receivable balances are correctly adjusted on a quarterly basis, fixed and intangible assets are correctly set up in SAP and depreciation is correct, ACH and wire payments are approved and processed timely
  • Manage team to ensure daily system interface activity is correct and monthly SAP intercompany reconciliations are properly completed. Maintain interface GL mapping and resolve out of balance issues.
  • Calculate Premium Trust requirements monthly
  • Oversee completion of monthly sub-ledger reconciliations and SAP intercompany reconciliations
  • Manage timely and accurate completion of Use tax filings
  • Prepare monthly corporate Concur accruals and analyze weekly cash activities.
  • Prepare monthly fixed asset roll-forwards
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual cancellation reserve update, the annual lag compensation analysis and the semi-annual lag day testing
  • Assist with annual update of standing T&E approval
  • Review and reconcile all corporate cash accounts monthly
  • Responsible for researching and responding to requests from both internal and external auditors
  • Completion of other projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·          College Graduate with Degree in Accounting or Finance.

·          6-8 years of total accounting experience required; 3-4 years at a controllership or accounting manager level required.

·          Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting; SAP, FAS and Sagitta experience a plus

·         MS Office and Excel proficiency required

·         Strong work ethic with a defined sense of urgency.

·         Organized self-starter that works well in a team environment.

·         Strong attention to detail and retention of pertinent information.
