The Benefits Administration Consultant will work with senior team members in providing project management and administrative support to firm clients. The consultant will manage pension recordkeeping and consulting relationships within the Benefits Administration Practice.
The BA Consultant will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients in different areas of the Benefit Administration Practice. This position could be the first step in a long, fulfilling career that offers leadership opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret pension plan documents and general pension regulations
- Assist in managing projects by overseeing planning and tracking project activities and progress
- Work with clients and team analysts day to day to manage the flow of delivery for ongoing services and project work.
- Review and approve pension benefit calculations and work with third party vendors to process payments.
- Manage and complete data cleanup/analysis projects
Specific/Individual Core Competencies:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a pension administration
- Experience with complex calculations (QDRO/AP/DEATH)
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, etc. )
- Basic skill level or general knowledge of coding languages preferred
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Project management skills
- Time management & organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize workload with multiple clients/projects at once
- Ability to work in teams and deliver independent work products
Education:
· Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree with preference for business or related field
