Description and Requirements
General Description: Provide claim advocacy and consulting services for Commercial Lines clients.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and measure financial impact of USI reviews and communicate results to client.
- Negotiate with carriers to develop special account instructions.
- Analyze loss trends and business issues and tailor claim service plan to address adverse trends and mitigate claim duration, severity and costs using claims management solutions.
- Advocate on behalf of clients on claim denials, reservation of rights, negotiating optimal coverage position.
- Assist client with evaluation and reporting of complex claims.
- Review reserving accuracy on specific claims.
- Develop action plan and assist with resolution of complex/high exposure or high-profile claims.
- Provide guidance on litigation management and medical management solutions.
- Partner with risk control and analytics/placement team to identify loss trends and develop a comprehensive program focused on reducing total cost of risk.
- Contribute insights and client solutions in USI team huddle meetings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Possess an advanced understanding of one or more Property & Casualty coverage line (WC / Auto / GL / PD)
· Licensed Adjuster preferred
· Property & Casualty license preferred
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Minimum 10 Years direct claims experience.
· Comfortable with internet-based programs and proficient in Microsoft Office products
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· Multi-Lines Expertise = WC-EL / AL-APD / GL / PD-BI-EE-B&M.
· Desired Additional Lines = Med-Mal / Cargo-STP / Inland Marine / Jones Act / USL&H / OCSLA / DOTHSA / M&E (as may be available).
· Ability to submit FNOL on required lines, when appropriate
· Detailed Policy Review and Analysis
· CAT / Complex Claim Experience
· Carrier ROR / Denial Letter Response
· Interface with Clients / Adjusters / Surveyors / TPA’s / Forensic Accountants / Attorneys / Carriers to progress and settle claims
· Coordinate, Prepare & Conduct Claim Reviews with Client Representatives and Third-Party Providers
· Perform TPA periodic evaluation, with contract review to optimize services to Client
· Ability to evaluate Texas Non-Subscriber / Occupational Accident / Workers’ Compensation programs to advise Clients on best program to be implemented for their specific needs
· Familiarity with usage and application of RMIS for Client applications
· Proven Track Record with Broker / TPA / Independent Adjuster / Carrier or combination
· Solid and Supported Industry Reputation
· Strong Problem Solving / Communication / Negotiation Skills
· Ability to work in a Producer / Account Service Team / Collaborative Claims Team Environment
