CL National Ops Manager

Apply nowGeneral Job Description: The National Operations Manager will work in conjunction with VP of CL Operations in driving best practices adoption and process improvement across Commercial Lines operations. Work in coordination with Commercial Lines Regional Operations Leaders to identify and remediate regions or offices where opportunities for improvement exist and help drive USI Commercial services, top priorities and current initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Regional Operations Leaders’ regions to drive improvement of Top Priorities
- Identify areas needing improvement and work with regional CL teams to develop, implement and monitor plan for improvement
- Conduct regular calls with assigned regional CL ops leader
- Support all operational needs, as they arise
- Ensure compliance with profit and growth objectives, set by management, including the following areas
- Entire CL metrics as well as assigned regional & office levels
- Blueprinting assistance
- Shape
- Staffing
- Knowledge of national CL team members roles and responsibilities and understanding when to coordinate and include them in office remediation initiatives
- Prepare monthly reporting outlining progress, status and next steps of assigned areas, including information required for monthly presentation to COO
- All other projects assigned by VP of Commercial Lines Operations
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- 10 years of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Agency along with comprehensive understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, underwriting and rating concepts
- BA/BS preferred; but not required
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes; history of effective project management and efficiency creation required
- Resourceful, persuasive, and effective leader able to successfully navigate in “matrixed” organization; personable, credible, and tactful
- Ability to manage multiple projects and to meet deadlines under pressure; excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Exceptionally strong quantitative & analytical ability, communication skills (written & verbal), and work-ethic
- Familiar with products, services, competitive offerings, market needs and industry trends
- Able to understand, interpret and convey technical information to others
- Strong analytical skills and be capable of using and interpreting commercial lines related facts and figures
- Ability to creatively and proactively problem solve
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in systems, procedures, processes, and policies
- Demonstrate knowledge and use of information systems and databases; skilled in office technology applications, including MS Office products and commercial lines agency managements systems (ideally Sagitta and ImageRight).
