Description: The Executive and Professional Risk Solutions (EPS) Director is a regional leadership role in the Executive and Professional Risk Solutions (EPS) department working directly with clients and prospects who qualify for EPS Technical Resource assignment to seek to identify EPS exposures, assist in addressing such exposure and transferring the balance of the exposure into EPS specific insurance products. Additionally, the EPS Regional Director will be responsible for oversight of Select and Middle Market within the region placed by account management. Lastly, the regional EPS director will work with EPS National teams as/when needed. A financially focused mind is needed to understand EPS risk impact to a client’s income statement and balance sheet as well as a mind focused on emergent risks within EPS lines with ability to relay these to clients, prospects and USI production.
Responsibilities:
· Direct the Executive and Professional Risk Solutions (EPS) Regional Practice in conjunction with regional sales/marketing efforts to generate new revenue to USI and retain current accounts.
· Position includes an emphasis in Directors & Officers Liability, Fiduciary, Employment Practices and Crime coverage, but must be conversant in Cyber, Errors and Omissions and Transactional Liability.
· Develop and maintain an EPS target list by office. Coordinate with Producer and COI’s (Center of Influence) that may influence those opportunities directly or indirectly.
· Develop COI’s through EPS educational presentations, networking and USI vertical specific events -- utilize COI’s in sales opportunities as needed.
· Strategize with National EPS Team, USI Regional OpCo Presidents, USI Regional Technical Leaders and Producers for both new business and retention of current business.
· Assist in customizing EPS content for specific, large target accounts including participation in RFP and other “qualifying” events.
· Oversee, request assistance and participate with the EPS National Team as needed on regional ops.
· Directly manage Client Relationships for EPS lines of coverage with client and prospects with over $75k in premium EPS placements.
· Act as oversight for EPS lines of coverage for client and prospects with at or under $75k in premium on various EPS lines of coverage; work with account management leadership in this effort in region.
· Respond and manage client and prospect needs throughout the year (i.e., post marketing and binding, etc.) and in concert with other USI service departments, i.e., Claims Management, etc.
· Work with USI National EPS Leadership on various initiatives both internal and external.
· Public company and large complex private and financial institutions may be placed in the market by the EPS National Team, however, coordination and participation by local EPS Director will be needed/critical so ability to work within matrix environment is critical.
· Other projects/tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
· Progressive responsibility in Executive and Professional Risk Solutions (EPS) related lines in the insurance brokerage field (minimum of 5 years).
· Ability to understand multiple EPS lines on a deep technical terms and conditions level is preferred/mandatory.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently, but in concert with national EPS standards with a high degree of accuracy.
· Ability to work well as part of a team.
· Demonstrated Project Management skills with successful life cycle completion is necessary.
· Must be detail oriented, organized, responsive and able to perform with high standards of quality.
· Must have demonstrated ability to lead “C-suite level” presentations.
· Must have demonstrated strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills as well as superior customer service skills.
· Ability to analyze problems and make decisions based on regulations and procedures in place currently while contemplating new or emergent legislation/regulation and its impact on clients/COB’s.
· Must be comfortable with internet-based programs, internet marketing (i.e., Social Media) as well as strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook.
· Proficient with Microsoft Suite of products.
