The Sourcing Specialist plays a critical role within the Leadership Recruiting team that supports USI’s Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty divisions. This role is responsible for cultivating talent pipelines through research, market intelligence and candidate development. The Sourcing Specialist partners with recruiters and hiring managers to build a sourcing culture that includes developing national relationships, implementing new sourcing strategies and effectively leveraging internal teams and their networks to identify top prospects.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute sourcing strategies yielding candidates in challenging markets including confidential and aging searches.
· Drive sourcing efforts for assigned Sales Leadership roles through competitive research and use of sourcing methods and tools (social media, industry associations, trade publications, Boolean search, referrals, networking, Chrome).
· Develop national leadership candidate pipelines by targeting, engaging and developing candidates and prospects from top competitors.
· Maintain broad view of larger team workbench and build and maintain national pipelines for future needs while positively impacting time to fill metrics.
· Gather and maintain competitive intelligence and market data for target companies to include mapping, org. charts and key leadership moves.
· Monitor the internal sourcing model and develop and own the sourcing plan for assigned searches.
· Maintain strong working relationship with internal recruiters and hiring managers.
· Facilitate sourcing strategy meetings to include huddles and live/offsite strategy sessions.
· Build and manage Talent Communities and national pipelines within Avature.
· Stay current on latest sourcing trends, tools and techniques by attending industry training webinars, and obtaining certifications with a focus on knowledge transfer within the team.
· Partner with marketing team on social media and creative sourcing efforts.
· Coordinate and maintain team training calendar (vendor training, tools and resources).
· Organize, maintain and share team best practices to include shared drive repository, search process checklist, sourcing toolkit, training and other key information.
· Define sourcer-specific metrics, and report on sourcing performance.
· Act in recruiter capacity when needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 10 plus years of Sourcing and Recruiting experience.
- Sales and executive level recruiting experience within Insurance or Financial services industries.
- Superior research and sourcing skills and a willingness/enthusiasm for direct recruiting and passive candidate outreach.
- Must be a self-motivated individual with a superior work ethic and a defined sense of urgency.
- An understanding and appreciation of broader Human Resources practices and success in navigating a highly matrixed organization is necessary.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and situation with discretion.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Some travel required.
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including; telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include; walking, sitting, standing, bending and typing.
Analysis of Physical Demands:
· Constantly (over 66% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as typing, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk.
· Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand and bend.
· Occasionally (1%-33% of time) work performed requires employees walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend.
· Rarely (< than 1 hour per week) work performed requires Lifting/Carrying items that range from 10-50lbs, pushing/pulling items that range from 10-50lbs, twisting/ turning including reaching over shoulder or above head, kneeling or squatting.
