General Description: 

The CG OS Benefit Calculation Administrator II position is a role that supports the Defined Benefit department’s objective to fulfill the plan administrator’s needs by providing plan participants an accurate calculation and options for retirement.

Responsibilities:

·         Generate calculation of benefits, including terminated vested, retired, estimates for actives, and lump sums, as necessary. Must have the ability to perform comprehensive pension benefit calculations.

·         Prepare and distribute complete communication packages, including election forms, worksheets, waivers, withholding forms, EFT elections, etc.

·         Ability to comprehend plan document language and apply to specific calculation.

·         Applies product knowledge and critical thinking skills to handle problems independently but seeks guidance in highly complex situations.

·         Track & Perform administrative updates e.g. Suspension of Benefits, TVs approaching normal retirement.

·         Perform daily administration e.g. sending out address & direct deposit change forms, pension verification letters, retiree setups, updates and monthly retiree payroll changes.

·         Assist in maintenance of benefit calculation quality data to allow for accurate calculation of benefits, determination of vesting and other eligibility, and grouping of participants by status type.

·         Generate internal and client-specific customized reports.

·         Assess incoming work and assist with creating associated tasks on a daily basis.

·         Assist with coordination of large mailings and supporting the USICG Admin Team

·         Support document imaging.

·         Foster a friendly and efficient working environment through a team-oriented attitude.

·         Serve as back-up to other clients to cover vacation, sickness, extended hours, etc.

·         Comply with departmental and each client’s performance standards, including audit process.

·         Maintain excellent customer service standards.

·         Assist on one-time project work, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         College degree desirable, or equivalent job-related experience.

·         Generally 2-6 years of pension administration experience.

·         Strong in the use of MS Products e.g. Word and Excel.

·         Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

·         Ability to manage several concurrent projects; meet deadlines and performance standards.

·         Ability to assess plan sponsor and participant inquiries and communicate effectively.

·         Strong basic computational skills.

·         Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without requiring Visa sponsorship.
