Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
  • Prepares specifications for system changes. Recommends and initiates systems testing.
  • Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.
 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years Insurance Agency office experience with emphasis on daily insurance process, procedures and agency management systems and rating. 
  • 3+ years Managing General Agency/Underwriter (MGA/MGU) experience with emphasis on daily process and carrier rating and State Surplus Lines guidelines.
  • Strong Analytical and Technical Skills, Strong Relationship and Communication skills, Self-Motivation with the ability to work without manager present.
  • Extensive experience developing Business Requirement Documents and all associated artifacts. Willingness to follow all required project processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Knowledge and understanding of data analysis, modeling, and mapping

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Prior experience in the following:
    • Planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
    • Preparation of specifications for system changes.
    • Project Management
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects or large-scale individual projects.
  • Experience and / or understanding of conceptual, logical and physical data modeling
  • Experience with Excel, Word and Microsoft Project
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology leadership, external service providers
  • Effectively articulate business requirements to enable technology solutions

Other requirements:

·         Ability to travel up to 20% of time

·         Telecommute option, however must reside near major USI office.
