Summary:

The business development role will be primarily responsible for cultivating and maintaining the relationship between US Risk Production divisions and the USI Select marketing teams, ensuring that levels of service are met and the correct groups within US Risk are handling risk placement opportunities. The position will act as a liaison between the internal groups to take advantage of opportunities where US Risk can act as an intermediary for USI accounts. The position will also be responsible for the management and oversight of resources providing quotes and servicing accounts that align with US Risk small commercial binding capabilities.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Act as liaison between US Risk production teams and USI to ensure the appropriate handling of submissions and accounts

·       Maintain strong product knowledge and understanding of US Risk capabilities across Specialty Programs, MGA, and Wholesale

·       Deliver consistent service levels and response times, including tracking of key metrics for submissions, quotes, bound policies, and revenue generation

·       Work with USI marketing specialists across regions to communicate US Risk capabilities and build relationships

·       Manage a pool of small commercial contract binding resources to streamline the quoting and binding process in support of USI risk placement opportunities

·       Work with executive team on initiatives to identify and drive additional USI volume into US Risk production teams

 

Qualifications:

·       P&C underwriting background at a similar MGA or carrier

·       Knowledge of the E&S Market

P&C License preferred

·       Proven problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and take initiative in a fast-paced environment

·       Self-driven, independent and motivated to grow a long-term, successful sales career
