General Summary:

The Pension Analyst is an entry-level role that entails providing administration and analytical support to senior staff while learning about the design, operations, and regulations governing defined benefit plans.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret pension plan documents and general pension regulations
  • Process and manage pension requests (calculations, data inquiries and/or updates, etc.)
  • Reconcile participant data questions
  • Assist with periodic data and processing projects
  • Communicate with coworkers, trustees, and clients to resolve processing discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Keep managers apprised of project work and on-going workflow logs
  • Have proactive involvement with clients


Specific/Individual Core Competencies:

  • Time management & organizational skills
  • Analytical skills with an emphasis on problem solving
  • Track multiple tasks and case resolution
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Understand and analyze participant data records
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Work independently and in group atmosphere


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
