Aff Program Account Manager

Apply nowGeneral Description: Service accounts for assigned programs. Responsible for responding to inquiries from customers and/or brokers. Ensure service requirements are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities:
• Retain and develop existing customer accounts from assigned book of business. Provide management status reports on book.
• Identify customer needs and exposures. Counsel customers and/or brokers on appropriate coverage and provide advice. Present proposals to customers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with underwriters and customers.
• Respond to or redirect phone calls and correspondence, as needed, with a sense of urgency.
• Expedite service responses to external customers.
• Cross-sell, round accounts, and refer new business opportunities.
• Communicate with carrier underwriters on account status and changes.
• Negotiate terms of policies with underwriters with the guidance of manager or supervisor.
• Send quotes and provide documentation. Including applications, supplements, confirmation of coverage letters, certificates, and policies to insureds/brokers.
• Attend meetings, seminars, and conferences to keep current on market and product changes. Communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Escalate problems to managers as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate information in agency management systems.
• Complete and submit policy change requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review and manage outstanding accounts receivables.
• Assist producer with new business placement. May include invoicing and binding in the company and carrier systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior customer service experience required.
• Insurance industry experience servicing accounts required.
• Commercial insurance experience preferred. Applicable product line of business experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Must hold or be willing to earn Property & Casualty insurance license within 45 days of hire.
• Sales and customer service orientation required.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
