General Descriptions
Responsible for the day-to-day account management of less complex commercial property and casualty accounts which includes new and renewal marketing, handling client questions and requests, and coverage review in support of Program Managers and Account Executives.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the retention of assigned client accounts.
• Responsible for marketing, preparing coverage/product recommendations, and discussing renewals with customers.
• Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance, as needed.
• Develops and maintains working relationships with customers/prospects.
• Communicates with, services, and provides comprehensive account support to assure customer needs are met.
• Capture, assist, design and manage the service platform.
• Handle all aspects of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance. Occasional outside service visits, to the client, may be required.
• Respond to Underwriters questions in a timely and professional manner.
• Adhere to Commercial Lines Best Practices – including written confirmation of new and renewal binding, evidence of coverage, changes to coverage and other related items.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
• Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages.
• May provide work direction to less experienced staff.
• Perform other job duties as assigned and participate in special projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• 3 years + of insurance experience.
• High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required.
• Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Proficient in MS Office suite of products.
• Experience managing less complex commercial property and casualty accounts.
• Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Solid problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
