Apply nowGeneral Description:
Outside sales position for Individual and Group Medicare. Responsible for driving new business sales revenue growth for employee benefits clients. Provide subject matter expertise and participate in sales meetings.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement sales business plans and prospecting strategies. Generate new leads and first appointments.
· Partner with Large Group Retirement Benefits team to support sales initiatives. Provide technical and product knowledge at sales meetings. Cross-sell applicable products.
· Actively participate in prospective client meetings and finalist presentations for new business. Deliver conceptual presentations promoting Emerson Reid’s products and services.
· Act as subject matter expert on Medicare, including Individual and Large Group Retirement Benefits and products.
· Complete sales due diligence process for clients.
· Keep current with industry, market, carrier, and product knowledge. Provide strategic and innovative guidance to beneficiaries on the complexities of Medicare.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients.
· Track appointments and label opportunities in USI database.
· Act as point of escalation and assist account management team on large and complex cases. Oversee renewal and service activities, including additional lines of business sales and case conservation.
· Provide oversight of the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) process. Ensure annual AHIP Certification and Compliance regulations are met.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Strong understanding of Medicare and employee benefits required.
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Experience with Large Group Retirements Benefits preferred.
· Must hold Life, Accident & Health License.
· America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Medicare certification required.
· Demonstrated ability to sell new business and maintain positive relationships.
· Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
· Exhibit a professional demeanor and a consultative sales approach.
· Self-motivated and goal oriented.
· Problem-solving ability. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Strong analytical skills. Capable of using and interpreting benefit related facts and figures.
