The Marketing Project Manager’s overall responsibility is to develop and manage the development and execution of marketing plans for lead/sales generation and customer retention across various channels including on-line and off-line channels and sales support (presentations, events, digital and direct mail, email, print, web, etc.) for the Commercial Lines (B2B) insurance program.
Sales Support:
- Support sales and account/client management teams by developing:
- custom proposals, sales presentations, client renewals, reports, etc. by researching, obtaining, arranging, and providing relevant information
- collateral sales materials, including but not limited to sell sheets and brochures
- materials and activities for trade shows, meetings, and conferences
- online and offline channel lead generation campaigns, with emphasis toward e-mail and other digital tactics
Marketing Support
- Support the mission of the Marketing Department by:
- Developing communication materials in line with the company's overall brand and design guidelines for online and offline channels, including but not limited to, brochures, applications, lead cards, direct mail, advertisements, press releases, email, etc.
- Managing the execution of client marketing plans to generate sales and business development opportunities, general interest, and qualified sales leads, specializing in assigned clients and offering team support as needed for other clients
- Focus on building/executing direct mail, email and digital campaigns as well as analyze results and make recommended changes.
- Provide direction for web marketing developing test strategies and suggested website maintenance.
- Managing creative approvals by client and carrier compliance, meeting contract and regulatory standards
- Developing copy and using graphic design skills for online and offline marketing campaigns
- Reporting the performance of marketing campaigns by sales results, engagement results, and other KPIs
- Collaborating with Marketing Leader on marketing tactics that improve campaign and channel performance
- Develop and execute routine satisfaction surveys
- Other duties as assigned to support the team such as overseeing the updating and reprinting of fulfillment materials, presentations, proposals, etc. Creating event signage and materials.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent experience required. Degree in Marketing, English or Communications is preferred;
- 3+ years related experience including managing and implementing marketing campaigns is required along with experience developing/executing/analysis of email marketing campaigns. Insurance or Financial Services Industry experience is preferred.
- B2B Marketing experience is preferred.
- Must be proficient in the MS Office suite of products including Word (formatting, layout and design), basic functions of Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is preferred.
- Intermediate graphic design skills are a plus.
- Must have excellent ability to establish priorities; manage multiple deadlines and diverse tasks; good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively communicate and/or present information to managers, clients, vendors, outside creative talent.
- Ability to understand and adhere to brand guidelines. Experience working with outside creative designers and printers are a plus.
- Must have excellent project management skills.
- Ability to handle a high level of stress during peak marketing timeframes.
- Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to write status reports, strategy briefs, business correspondence and procedural manuals is required.
- Copywriting skills are a plus.
- A plus if the person can also conceptualize and write promotional copy that effectively communicates project objectives.
