Description and Requirements
General Description: Assists the Technical Resources teams (Claims, Risk Control, Property & Casualty and Placement) by providing entry-level technical insurance support and coordination for assigned clients and prospects. **This position offers a hybrid schedule with the employee working part-time from USI's office and part-time from home.**
Responsibilities:
· Supports Claims, Risk Control, Property & Casualty and Placement consultants in servicing prospects and assigned accounts.
- Verifies accuracy of insurance documentation to assist with the submission process.
- Prepares Loss Trend and Claims Detail Reports for causes of loss analysis to assist clients with action plans.
- Gathers loss data and runs models for Casualty and Property teams (i.e. Loss Forecasts, Loss Stratifications, Loss Development Factors (Triangles), Collateral; Premium Allocation; Catastrophe (CAT) modeling) and building valuation reports.
- Assists Claims to understand the life cycle of a claim from reporting to close and the process for complex claims.
- Assists clients with onboarding of client portal Risk Management systems.
- Helps with all aspects of marketing and quote review & comparisons across various lines of coverage. Reviews insurance binders for accuracy and completeness and prepares marketing summaries for presentation to client.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 1-2 years of experience in a Commercial Lines agency. College degree preferred.
- Must hold a Property & Casualty insurance license or obtain one within 90 days.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products. Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
- Must have a capacity for analytical thinking and strong organizational skills.
- Develops property and casualty knowledge and skillset.
