Apply nowGeneral Description: Provides technical support to clients and members of USI’s Commercial Lines Account Management and Sales Executive teams to appropriately analyze, design, market, price, and place risks. Makes fact-based recommendations to clients to solve their insurance issues.
Responsibilities:
- Experience with package business: Property, General Liability, Workman's Compensation, Auto and Excess
- Must know all coverages.
- Negotiate underwriting terms coverage and pricing with carrier underwriting partners on behalf of clients.
- Relationship-driven; will be interacting with Carriers and have the ability to build and maintain those relationships.
- This person will be doing pipelining, planning, policy structure, review and then placement
- Participate in the development of department policies on a national and local basis.
- Review clients' data and existing insurance policies and make recommendations for improvement.
- May assess clients’ contractual liabilities and alignment with their insurance policies and make recommendations for improvement.
- This person will be working with middle market business.
- Will work with a seasoned team and have the ability to grow and get exposure to other areas of the business.
Knowledge, Skills, qualities and Abilities:
· 2-3 years in a Commercial Lines agency
- Underwriting experience, a plus
- Strong Technical acumen
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Must hold or be willing to earn a Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred.
- Deep, technical knowledge of commercial insurance.
- Strong business, negotiation, and data interpretation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of Sagitta / ImageRight preferred, but not required.
