General Description: This role is responsible for assisting the team leader with RFP's and manage the RFP database.



  • Assist RFP team leader in developing and producing creative, high quality, winning responses to RFPs or requests for information. This includes but is not limited to municipalities, commercial and employee benefits proposals.
  • Produce graphic and technical content and coordinate with others involved.
  • Work collaboratively with sales/account/leadership team members to manage project effectively.
  • Provide writing, editing, design, layout and production services for new business presentations, sales, marketing and client communication materials produced internally.
  • Manage development and use of regional RFP database.
  • Facilitate brand training and provide graphic and brand standards assistance/interpretation to associates producing client communication materials.
  • Organize and maintain relevant marketing, brand and sales materials on company intranet working directly with USI Corporate Sales and Marketing team.
  • Manage Associations and Membership benefits to determine full execution of benefits, speaking engagements, networking and tracking to ensure ROI.
  • Assist with other projects and programs as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Undergraduate college degree.
  • Minimum 4 years related work experience.
  • Creative approach to business development and communication strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to write technical or creative prose. Writing samples required
  • Communication and project management skills with a customer service focus
  • Demonstrated ability to produce/design visually appealing and compelling presentation and proposal materials. Samples required.
  • Mature judgment and work ethic; comfortable working with executive-level and sales-oriented individuals and sensitive materials/information
  • Ability to work effectively during times of organizational stress, ambiguity and change. Experience with content management software a plus
  • Strong understanding of MS Office applications, document design and related software capabilities required.
  • If not fully proficient in design applications, candidate may complete training within 6 months depending on company support.
  • Professional appearance and presentation.
  • General understanding and knowledge about regional business community, investment and/or insurance industry. Previous business development or project management in marketing or professional services field a plus.
