General Description: The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination of local delivery of USI's Population Health Management strategy in partnership with The Director of PHM and USI account management. This includes determining the appropriate solution, implementing a strategy, vendor oversight, promotional support, communications assistance, problem resolution, engagement and participation tracking, and program reporting.


  • Assists with the planning and operational aspects of data-driven worksite wellness programs and services.
  • Assists with program implementation, management, and evaluation of wellness activity components for PHM clients.
  • Supports new business initiatives by attending prospect or finalist meetings for lower revenue EB clients
  • Monitors the effectiveness of various vendor solutions and reviews new vendors
  • Support with Wellness Committee meetings, health fairs, marketing, vendor update calls, and other meetings as required in the support of worksite wellness programs.
  • Work alongside PHM Director with administrative support for USI's Communication Director and ERISA attorney in support of client wellness programs.
  • Assistance with the National Population Health Management Team initiatives as needed.
  • Review claims data to identify clinical opportunities and recommend strategies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required. Degree in health promotion or health sciences field (nutrition, sports/fitness, nursing, etc.) is preferred.
  • Appropriate industry certifications (American College of Sports Medicine or Certified Health Education Specialist) are desired.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate setting
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to work autonomously
  • Strong project and vendor management experience
  • Highly detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills as well as excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Experience implementing different types of health promotion programs.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast moving environment with shifting priorities and significant activity.
  • Team player, enthusiastic attitude, adaptable to new or changing experiences, professional demeanor, sensitive to client needs, self-motivated
  • Task oriented, ability to prioritize workload
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook required.
  • Some travel required.
  • Travel as needed.
