Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager

Our Charleston, South Carolina office is looking for an Assistant Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines team. The ideal candidate exhibits excellent customer service, communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

General Description: Assist Commercial Lines teams with servicing and retention of clients by preparing information, managing data and producing documents. 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in basic client services such as issuing Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Property Coverage and Auto ID Cards.

  • At the Account Manager's direction, order various endorsements from carriers, confirm changes to client, follow-up for receipt of endorsements, verify their accuracy and deliver to client with appropriate correspondence.

  • Process insurance documents such as policy audits, cancellations and reinstatements.

  • Order various reports, loss runs, MVR's and follow-up for their receipt.

  • Assist with spreadsheets and premium allocations, when requested.

  • Maintain client files accurately and consistently; responsible for proper documentation of files and proper communication to all in accordance with company workflows, procedures and best practices. Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems. Adhere to USI workflows.

  • Other projects, as needed by Commercial Lines team.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6 + months customer service experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy 

  • Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions 

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important 

  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations

  • Experience performing a variety of clerical functions including photocopying, faxing, filing and data entry 

  • Current South Carolina Property & Casualty insurance license or obtain within 180 days of employment date. Compliance with state law requirements is required.
