COMMERCIAL INSURANCE VETERINARY SALES/ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – SAFEHOLD SPECIAL RISK VETERINARY & ANIMAL SERVICES PROGRAM

JOB DESCRIPTION

Develops new business in the sales and marketing of Safehold Special Risk’s tailored Veterinary & Animal Services Property & Casualty insurance program to prospective clients and industry organizations. Drives new business opportunities ‘on the road’ through direct solicitation and industry events and ‘from the office’ by phone, social media campaigns, affinity relationships, electronic marketing and cross-sales to existing customers. We are a highly regarded player in our industry yet there is plenty of opportunity for innovation, growth and achievement for those driven to get results and excel.

We will assist any successful candidate with sales and marketing experience in the veterinary and/or animal services industry who lacks insurance background to acquire the appropriate insurance knowledge and in achieving licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively grow year-over-year program revenue
  • Build relationships within veterinary animal services industry
  • Address client issues and queries in a timely/transparent fashion
  • Collaborates with the team to create analytical and technical reporting of sales performance and execute other sales and marketing related projects
  • Attend events, conferences and open houses to drive leads and sales
  • Develops implements and monitors comprehensive customer service plans that reflect clients’ business and risk management goals.
  • Assists in client retention and cross-sales as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of insurance experience; or equivalent business-to-business sales and marketing to decision-makers within the veterinary and/or animal services industry. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel overnight.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Capable of managing moderately complex commercial property and casualty accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and close sales in a business-to-business environment

                     Designated insurance license requirements must be completed within 180 days of hire date. Compliance with state law requirements is required
