Account Executive Surety 2


Responsible for account management, in conjunction with commercial sales executives, of moderate to complex Surety Bond needs (permit, contract bonds, bid, performance & payment, license and other misc. bonds) of customers. Duties include customer calls, obtaining and evaluating corporate and individual financial data, evaluating customer bond needs and developing strategy, analyzing financial data; preparing bond submissions; negotiating bonds with Surety Underwriters; developing and maintaining relationships with Surety Companies and Underwriters; acting as key contact within the specialized market, understanding compliance issues involving multi-state insurance agents licensing and adhering to Surety Company granted lines of authority.


*This position will be responsible for handling a book of business as well as managing 1 direct report


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of surety bond experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with moderate to complex client surety needs (permit, contract bonds, bid, performance and payment, license and other bonds including marketing to surety carriers)
  • Experience developing and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and prospects
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior team lead or management experience of a service group


Designated insurance license requirements must be completed within 180 days of hire date. Compliance with state law requirements is required.
